Missions
The Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic is the home of Dominican Advance, Inc., a ministry founded by Dr. Kim and Josie Pensinger of Tucson, Arizona. Its purpose is to feed and educate the children in this nation, providing them with quality Christian educational opportunities, preparing them for a “brighter future” in an impoverished nation where such opportunities are rare. There are currently two elementary schools, each with its own campus, one high school and a technical school located on the third campus. The Pensingers have served God on the mission field for many years, not only in the Dominican Republic, but also in other nations.
We are honored that the first elementary school is named in recognition of Dr. Phyllis Callahan whose love for the Word of God and education prompted the Pensingers to name the first school after her.

The Philippines

The Philippines is a nation of islands where we have served for many years with the ministry of Faith Island Mission, a Christian network of church-planting and Bible college ministers, located on Negros Island. Following the death of the ministry’s leader and president, Bishop Danden Sales, his wife, Pastora Shirley, and their son, Rev. Jason Sales, are now leading the work. Their God-given mission is to continue to raise up new church leaders and pastors and build churches throughout the Philippine islands. We have served this ministry in conferences and churches where leaders and pastors have hungered for more training and teaching from God’s Word.
Aba, Nigeria
Aba, Nigeria is home to Victory Church International. For many years the late Bishop / Dr. Sylvester Alanwoko was the spiritual overseer and leader of the church. Proceeding Word Ministries has worked for decades in partnership with this church and with a network of churches and pastors in Aba, providing counsel, mentorship, and ministry of the Word of God regularly. Bishop Rick ministers monthly via Zoom to the Victory Church congregation. Pastor Favor Alanwoko and his wife, Jane, now provide oversight for the church and other related ministries throughout the region. Their emphasis is on soul-winning, discipleship, and equipping and training leaders for 5-fold ministry.

Spain

Spain is home to missionaries Pastor John Cutler and his wife, Sylvia. More than 35 years ago, John was sent to Spain as a missionary from Maranatha Christian Church, our former house of worship in Williston, Vermont. He and Sylvia have planted more than three churches in this nation and are working on a fourth church plant in the northern part of Spain. John and Proceeding Word Ministries have worked together for many years to advance the Kingdom of God in Spain, winning souls and making disciples for Christ.
Ecuador
Ecuador is the newest nation that Proceeding Word Ministries International is going into under the direction of Dr. Chris Korson and his wife, Deborah, from Dallas, Texas. The Korsons have ministered in Ecuador over more than eighteen visits there, sharing the gospel and speaking into the hearts of hungry Kingdom workers in certain regions of the country. The pastors and overseers within the network of leaders in Ecuador are excited about the possibilities awaiting Proceeding Word Ministries International and other ministries as together, we promote God’s Word, His Kingdom, win souls, and train young men for the pastorate in 2026.

Partner With Us
In the development and expansion of any ministry, being partnered with others is essential. Very few people are “self-made” — they have had help along the way. Proceeding Word Ministries is a collective effort of many people like you, who give, who pray, and who share words of encouragement and hope.
