The Sense of His Plan

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that
I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” (Psalm 27:13)

Is there anything in your life that just doesn’t make sense? You’ve tried to figure it out, but the questions remain. Why would God allow such obstacles and struggles to annoy or worry you?

You’re not alone. David, Israel’s greatest king, spent years as a fugitive escaping King Saul, whose obsession was to kill him. David must have wondered why the Lord was taking so long to place him on the throne.

David must have felt impatient, questioning why the Lord was taking so long to place him on the throne. But God knew exactly what He was doing. During that time, He was thoroughly preparing David to honor Him in everything- strengthening David’s faith for the battles he would face as King.

Likewise, the Father may be using hardships and trials to prepare you for an important assignment. So don’t fret or rely on your own understanding about your situation. It will make sense eventually, and we have the assurance from God’s Word, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28). Trust God regardless of how your circumstances appear, and He will lead you in straight paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

Prayer
“Lord, I am grateful for the journey you are taking me on. Thank you for preparing me to step into the wonderful plans you have for my life,
and I place my full trust in You.
Amen
